How fast does it heat up?

It's designed to start warming your room in about 5 minutes. How quickly the whole room feels warm depends on its size, insulation and how cold it is to begin with.

Does it need to be installed?

No professional installation is needed. Use it on a tabletop, or mount it on the wall following the included instructions, then plug it into a standard wall outlet.

What does PTC ceramic mean?

PTC stands for positive temperature coefficient. It describes a ceramic material whose resistance rises as it heats up, which helps the element regulate its own heat output.

What do the touchscreen and remote do?

Both let you turn the heater on and off, switch between low and high power, and set your temperature. The remote means you can change settings from your bed or couch.

Which rooms is it for?

It's rated for spaces up to 549 sq ft, such as bedrooms, home offices, dens and living rooms. It isn't meant for bathrooms, outdoor spaces or whole-house heating.

Can I plug it into an extension cord?

Plug space heaters directly into a wall outlet. Avoid extension cords and power strips, and always follow the instructions supplied with your heater.

Can I leave it on overnight?

Follow the supplied safety instructions. As with any space heater, don't leave it running unattended, and keep bedding, curtains and furniture well clear of it.

It uses a ceramic element and the brand describes it as whisper-quiet. Like any heater that moves air, you may hear a soft airflow sound.

How much power does it use?

400W on low and 800W on high. As an example at 17¢ per kWh, that's about 6.8¢ an hour on low and 13.6¢ an hour on high.

Inside the Cozy Cove Pro heater: ceramic PTC heating element

Quick answer

Cozy Cove Pro works by warming a ceramic PTC heating element and moving air across it, so warm air flows into your room in about 5 minutes. You choose low (400W) or high (800W) with the touchscreen or remote, and automatic overheat shut-off turns it off if it gets too hot. It's rated for rooms up to 549 sq ft.
